Small businesses provide unique opportunities for people in rural and urban areas to build and create their own visions of happiness and prosperity. However, small businesses have been gobbled up and annexed into large lifeless cement warehouses that value exploitation over the needs of our citizens. The majority of political leaders talk-the-talk about supporting small businesses, but overwhelmingly vote for tax breaks or incentives for large multinational corporations. If we ever want to really experience the land of opportunity, we must bring back the mom-and-pop and all other forms of small business whether it be partnerships, sole proprietorships, or employee-owned businesses.

I've always had reasons not to do it - now more than ever - so I've decided maybe that's why it's time.
